- Animal Painting in Oil -
This workshop is designed for beginners to advanced artists who wish to learn how to paint animals with oil colours.
Andy will take you through the fundamentals of drawing and oil painting through naturalistic animal painting using sight-size techniques. Proportions, light and shadow pattern, values, and rendering will be explored. Andy will also guide you from the block-in drawing to the process of transferring your drawing to monochromatic underpainting to color mixing and applications. The aesthetic considerations for the background will be discussed to produce a naturalistic setting for the animal.
This workshop will be limited to only 10 participants to guarantee individual guidance and critique.
