This workshop explores the shape and design of the human head. We focus on anatomical structure, light effects, and creating the illusion of form and a sense of space. We will also learn about mixing skin tones using a traditional palette. This course will convey a step-by-step approach about painting from a life-model in a realistic and expressive manner. In addition to individual critiques, there will be demonstrations of the systematic process and demonstrations to clarify mixing of flesh tones.
