Description:

In this 3.5-day workshop we will go over everything that is required to paint an academic figure painting. We will paint a small scale figure painting in oil, practicing the academic methodology and focusing on learning and understanding each step. The instructor will demonstrate how to mix a string of flesh tones in accordance to the figure as well as paint a demo alongside the students as she explains each phase. By the end of the workshop you will have a better understanding of values,
form and chroma and have a solid recipe to guide you when painting your next figure.

This workshop is open to all levels of experience.

Biography:

Lucine is a Swedish - Armenian painter born in 2001. Aesthetics, emotion and energy are the main components in her paintings, which are all painted from life. As a way to start the pursuit of her artistic career she began a three year long classical academic training in painting at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence, Italy, in 2020. Drawing inspiration from old masters such as Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Velasquez and countless 19th century painters leaves her room to explore a mix of technique and individuality.
Lucine is currently painting from her studio in Vienna, Austria.
