Figure Painting Workshop by Jura Bedic
This 4-day workshop will take place from 24-27 October 2020 (4 days) from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. It is designed to help students understand the human form. They will focus on anatomical structure of the standing figure as well as the light effect and creating the illusion of form and space . Course includes instruction on the palette organization and mixing of the flesh tones while working from a live model.
In addition to the individual critiques, painting and flesh tone mixing demonstrations will be held to help clarify the method . All levels are welcome.
Bio: Jura Bedic completed his studies at The Florence Academy of Art in 2002 and became a principal instructor first in the Intensive
Drawing Program, then in the Painting Program. He has participated in group exhibitions in numerous galleries in the United States, as well as alumni exhibitions organized by the Academy in Germany and Florence. Bedic is the winner of the 2001 Art Renewal Center International Scholarship Competition, and his work is featured in an article in American Artist’s “Drawing” Magazine, 2003, “Classical Approaches to the Teaching of Drawing.” In 2007 he won “The best in Show” award in the F.A.A.’s 3rd Annual Alumni Exhibition. Fee: Workshop fee: 360 Euros. A 10% early-bird discount will be provided for those paying half the fee two weeks before the workshop.
