Figure drawing from Life by Florian Boschitsch Bron
The course will be conducted by Florian Boschitsch Bron, and held at VATA over four Tuesday evenings from 6-9 pm on 6, 13, 20 and 27 October 2020. Class size will be minimum 8 and maximum 12. Teaching will be in German and English, depending on the needs of the students.
The aim will be to give students a clear strategy and techniques for mastering one of the classic challenges of traditional art: figure drawing from life. The class will include demos on set-up and anatomical construction as well as theory on drawing from observation and rendering light and form as it applies to the human figure, both in pencil and in charcoal.
Bio: Florian Boschitsch Bron is a multidisciplinary visual artist from Vienna, Austria. A graduate from the University of Applied Arts in Vienna, he has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator and animator, before finally coming full circle back to traditional drawing and painting. He has been classically trained at both the Florence Academy of Art and the Barcelona Academy of Art, where he was also an instructor for two years. Fee: The course covering will be 210 Euros for 4 weeks (each session being 3 hours). A 10% early-bird discount will be provided for those paying half the fee two weeks before the start of the course.
